Let’s shake it up–pumpkin style.
Those of you who know me well know that I am a routine person. Those of you who know me even better know I rarely stray from my cake batter shake.
However, there comes a time when the foliage brightens just to fade, the wind chills, the sweatshirts come out and I begin adding pumpkin into my blender…it just feels right.
For those of you curious as to what this pumpkin shake tastes like, this shake is sweet. There are actually two variations of pumpkin shakes I make. Today I will share my original pumpkin shake.
If you sign up for your own free newsletter, the #Daretomove Motivator, you will get my seven favorite shakes sent right to your inbox! In that list is also my Pumpkin Pie shake and a great list of instructions as well as the methods to my shake madness.
Just fyi, this shake tastes akin to the PB banana shake I make. I hope you enjoy!
Throw the ingredients into your blender in the order below:
8oz of water or almond milk. (I use 4oz of each)
1 scoop of vanilla whey protein. (I use Tripact)
a few sprinkles of cinnamon
truvia 1-2 packets
1/3 cup of canned or fresh pumpkin
2 handfuls of spinach (and/or kale)
1 tsp of chia seeds
dash of pumpkin pie spice and/or nutmeg
1 tsp of vanilla flavor
1-2 handfuls of ice
**I get a little crazy and add 1 tablespoon of PB2 because who doesn’t love the taste of peanut butter on EVERYTHING.
