October is my favorite month. I fall in love with life all over again, every year. I love stomping the leaves on the ground; smiling when the wind hits my face. Driving with the windows down in a sweatshirt or going for a jog in the cool air are things that make me feel alive.

Things I am working on:

Super stoked to be able to meet with Dave Redden of Stratton Mountain School this month. He was one of my brother’s snowboard development coaches in high school. Hunter is now a professional rider. He often talks about how he misses the strong regime he had at SMS.

Dave is still the snowboarding development coach at SMS for the high school athletes. He is RKC certified and freaking loves kettlebells. He teaches the athletes how to build strength for life as well as their sport. I can’t wait to learn about his methods on dry-land to prep the athletes for competition/ski season.

Personally, I am working on my deadlift this month. Switched my stance to sumo and think I will be able to pull more. Can’t wait to explain why I switched my stance and how it works for me!
